Dr. Johannes Hoffart

Johannes Hoffart is the CTO of the AI Unit at SAP, where he leads the company’s AI strategy and innovation efforts. Before joining SAP, Johannes headed a research group focused on Natural Language Processing and Knowledge Graphs at Goldman Sachs AI Research. An entrepreneur at heart, Johannes co-founded two AI startups, Ambiverse and nudge, both aimed at advancing machine capabilities in organizing knowledge. He holds a PhD from the Max Planck Institute for Informatics, where his research centered on discovering and disambiguating named entities in text. With a deep background in AI and a passion for pushing the boundaries of technology, Johannes plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI at SAP.








