Andre Munkelt
André Munkelt is a Managing Director and the Chief Executive Officer and Chair of the Management Boards of Morgan Stanley Europe Holding SE, Morgan Stanley Europe SE and Morgan Stanley Bank AG since July 2024. He is also board member of Morgan Stanley International Limited. André joined the MSEHSE Group Management Boards in February 2019 as Chief Risk Officer (CRO) responsible for the oversight of the Group’s risk management function. Prior to his appointment as CRO, André held several leadership positions within the Firm, including the role of EMEA Head of Counterparty Credit Risk and Deputy EMEA Head of Credit Risk Management in London. André joined Morgan Stanley in London in 2006 in Credit Risk Management responsible for the credit analysis and management of credit risk to Financial Institutions. Before taking up his role at Morgan Stanley, André worked in the Financial Services division of PricewaterhouseCoopers AG WPG in Germany. He graduated from the University for Cooperative Education Dresden with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Diplom-Betriebswirt (BA)) with a specialisation in Banking and Finance. Since 2008, André is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). André is married and has two children.
